India's second largest space station will be built in Gujarat, says ISRO SAC Director
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will build the country's second-largest space station in Gujarat. The work is in progress at a fast pace for this aspirational project which is projected to cost ₹10,000 crore, said ISRO Space Applications (SAC) director Nilesh Desai in an exclusive interview with CNBC Awaaz. Similar to the Centre's policy, the Gujarat government has introduced a Space Mission Policy, which will benefit the state. Desai said a space station will be constructed between Diu and Veraval in Gujarat. He said SALV and PSLV rockets will be launched from this Gujarat-based space station.
